Don't forget YOU! Take time for self-care.

We are all dealing with so much mental stress due to the pandemic and now we have the holiday season stacked on top of it. Gees, who needed that?  I thought momentarily about canceling the holidays... nah, can't do that. Second best, here are some coping tips from The California branch of NAMI, (National Alliance on Mental Illness.) 

The longer this pandemic drags on, the more it affects our mindset. The good news, there are lots of little things we can do to help it.  Try some of these...

  • Limit the number of people and households you have to deal with.
  • Accept your individual needs.
  • Write a gratitude list and offer thanks.
  • Manage your time and don't try to do too much.
  • Be realistic.
  • Set boundaries.
  • Practice relaxation - breathing cleanses the body and mind
  • Exercise daily - clears those stress toxins fast.
