Bombshell Waxes

Bombshell Wax Company offers a premium line of depilatory waxes and waxing accessories.  The manufacturer recommends using strip waxes for larger areas of the body and hard /no-strip waxes on the face, underarms and bikini area.

 

Instructions For Use
Soft Waxes -- Rose Petal Crème and Lavender Tea Tree

  1. Heat wax in warmer until lukewarm on low heat OR place in microwave in 3 minute increments until completely liquefied. Temperature of heated wax should not exceed 120° F.  The wax should be smooth and creamy – not watery or excessively runny.  If you can’t control the wax on your spatula the wax is probably too hot and too thin.
  2. Clean the skin with a mild astringent.
  3. Pat skin dry.  If desired you may also apply a very small amount of a pre-wax oil such as BOMBSHELL WAX PINKY WINKY.
  4. Always test wax temperature on your wrist before applying to clients. Dip spatula into wax and spread a thin, even layer of wax in the same direction of hair growth.
  5. Cover with BOMBSHELL LAS VEGAS STRIPS and PRESS FIRMLY in downward strokes.
  6. Hold the skin firmly with one hand and, with the other hand, QUICKLY pull strip in the OPPOSITE direction of hair growth staying close and parallel to the body.
  7. When waxing is completed apply a liberal amount of a post wax soothing oil such as Bombshell Pinky Winky over the waxed area.  Using a waxing strip firmly wipe over the waxed and oiled area to remove any wax residue.  To decrease redness follow with a soothing cream such as Cream 100™ Calming Balm or an antibacterial.

Hard / No Strip Waxes
Rose Garden and Ipanema Aquamarine Ultra-Sensitive No Strip Waxes

  1. Place a full container of hard wax directly in the heater and heat until at least parts of it are creamy and warm to the touch.  Avoid excessive stirring as this can overheat the wax.  A nice, thickish, creamy consistency is the goal.
  2. Scoop up a small ball of wax on the end of a spatula and apply in an even strip.  As you spread the wax, take care to leave the edges even and a surplus at the end to serve as a pull tab from which the strip can be easily lifted.  The goal is to have a large enough edge so you don’t have to pick at it to remove it.  Remove wax in one even stroke.
  3. Bombshell’s No-Strip Waxes are designed for accomplished professionals who want to work fast.  These waxes set up a little faster than other brands to minimize time spent waiting for the wax to cure.  In comparison to Cirepil, for example, apply the wax a little faster and remove the wax a little faster.  In most cases, Bombshell No-Strip Waxes can be removed in about 30 seconds.  Actual drying times will be affected by the room temperature and the body part being waxed.  The wax is ready to be pulled off when it is no longer tacky to the touch.
  4. When pulling the strip, do so in an even smooth motion.  Do not pull too fast or jerk.  Tip:  It is best to remove a large strip in two or three movements. 
  5. After waxing, apply a toner and, to calm the skin, follow with a soothing cream such as Cream 100™ Calming Balm or an antibacterial.

CAUTION:
To avoid burns, test wax temperature on your wrist before applying to clients. Temperature of heated wax should not exceed 120° F. Never use Bombshell or any waxing products on clients who are using Retin A or Accutaine. Never wax broken, red, rashy or sunburned skin. For professional use only. Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. Do not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes.

 

Tips for Use and Selection

Rose Petal Cream

This wax seems to like warm environments.  It is designed for resistive hair and works best when applied to somewhat smaller areas and then removed. It is very gentle to the skin as it goes on at a slightly lower temperature.  If you want to speed wax use the Lavender and Tea Tree as it is better suited for this.

 

Lavender and Tea Tree

This is a great all around wax that is easy to work with and very forgiving.  Great for speed waxing large areas. It takes off even very short hairs.

 

Ipanema Aquamarine Ultra-Sensitive and Rose Garden Ultra-Sensitive

No-Strip Wax

These waxes go on at a lower temperature than most other hard waxes. Accordingly, they set up faster and are extremely gentle.  Because they cure quickly you don’t have to wait long before they are ready for removal.  Get it on.  Get it off.  And get it done fast.
